Annual Assembly 30th April 2024
The Annual Assembly this year was a delight, the hall at Meadowside was filled to bursting with about 500 adults and children.
The performances from the schools were fantastic as always with some fabulous music and singing from Whiteley Primary and Cornerstone Schools. The joint choir singing ‘Let’s live in a peaceful world’ was a highlight.
The Henry Cort rock band raised the roof with a super confident performance, we look forward to hearing more at Meadowside Music Festival!
Cornerstone School showcased incredible dancing, deeply impressing the audience and especially our honoured guest, Cllr Angela Clear the Mayor of Winchester.
Thank you to the schools for taking the time to attend and to the pupils and also to the parents and carers who came along to enjoy the performances.

Phone signal in Whiteley
Work on the northern mast is progressing, it should be operational shortly pending the completion of some legal agreements. The Meadowside mast has come back to the planners following proposals to slightly relocate the monopole. The legal agreement for the Meadowside mast is proving lengthy but is making progress.
A proposal for a mast in Leafy Lane was refused by Winchester City Council. The Town Council and numerous residents objected to the plans. To view details use case reference 24/00650/TCP
Play area improvements
The Supernova and its surfacing has been replaced at the Meadowside play area, we know this is a popular piece of play equipment so its a like for like replacement.
The fencing around Mollison Rise play area is currently being replaced and looking great.
